My disorganized life
Who doesn’t like Chocolate? Who doesn’t like Bacon? Who doesn’t like Sea Salt? No one that I know! When I saw this recipe I knew that I had to try this for Christmas. I am not the best pastry chef, but I was drawn to a simple recipe.
Ingredients
10 ounces dark chocolate chips
-
3 Circle B Ranch Hickory Smoked bacon strips ( cooked and crumbled )
1 teaspoon shortening ( actually use bacon fat )
1 teaspoon sea salt
-
I jar Marina's Cranberry Chutney
Directions
Line a small baking sheet with aluminum foil and lay the bacon on the pan. Place in a preheated 375 degree oven.
Cook bacon until just crispy about 25 minutes and drain off 1 tsp bacon fat.
Melt chocolate over med heat, stirring frequently, until melted.
Add bacon fat and stir until combined.
Put a sill pad on a small baking sheet and pour the chocolate onto baking sheet, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle with bacon and desired amount of sea salt.
Place in fridge, covered, until set {about 30 in or so}.
Break into pieces and store in air tight.
